How Sleep Affects Child Development

My newborn (5 week old) seems to be going thru a sleep regression. Having a hard time sleeping in general, his wake windows can range from 30 mins to 5-6 hours at a time. Towards then end he gets extremely fussy if we put him down. Will scream and cry until picked up again and consoled. Very food motivated tho so a bottle typically does the trick with some rocking and snuggles

He was doing super well after switching to a bedside bassinet at week three from the crib. But then the wake windows got larger and the sleep sensitivity increased
